It Builds Character

Dear Lars,

I’m super sorry about this morning.

You know I would never normally get out of the Traverse or hold up traffic in the school’s drop off lane.

But today I had no choice. Your brother’s book bag was stuck on his booster seat. I had to get out and help him. And then his book bag dumped out all over the place, and I had to pick up all of his stuff.

I know some kids laughed us, and one dad beeped his horn. I was picking things up as quickly as I could.

In my defense, Fridays are my day off from work, and you know I like to clean the house on Friday mornings. I’m not exactly going to do that in a dress or a cardigan.

Lars, moments like these are character building. I bet you’ll end up having a great sense of humor when you’re an adult.

Consider this morning’s fashion faux pas a favor to your future funny self.

Anyway, I’m sorry.

I used to be the apple of his eye. I guess I’ve lemoned him down.

Obviously, you are going to have to throw a couple extra bucks in his therapy fund from this incident!

I can’t wait to have kids!! My mom used to drop me off in her bathrobe. I went to a small private school with like 200 kids k-12, so, yeah everybody knew us! :0) I think I turned out pretty funny and only have a slight drinking problem :0)

Until you show up at school in a bathrobe and house shoes with rollers in your hair… it could always be worse! Trust me. I’ve seen it.

I hated when my mother would leave the house in her rollers to take me somewhere. I was so embarrased!! Still have issues with that. Why?? Why would anyone leave their house in their rollers?!
